PGC Volunteer

I have been working with Playwrights Guild of Canada since May of this year, mostly formulating lists for outreach and community based projects.  I have learned the importance of communication with our fellow theatre practitioners and members here at PGC.  Most importantly though, I have learned the value of a comfortable and trusting work environment.  Here at PGC everyone was so welcoming, I felt right at home from the start.  Robin, Kevin and Tina were so kind and patient with me.  I didn’t have many administrative skills when I began volunteering here.  So, it was an educational experience that provided me with excellent knowledge, a wonderful working environment and relevant credentials that will benefit my future.  As well as giving me the opportunity to meet important people in the Theatre world, specifically at PGC.

PGC Hosts Brad Fraser’s intensive playwriting program for new or unproduced writers!

FINDING FRESH VOICES

Playwrights Guild of Canada announces a brand new playwriting program led by Brad Fraser for those who are interested in writing for the theatre but don’t know where to start.

Internationally renowned playwright Brad Fraser, author of such works as Unidentified Human Remains and the True Nature of Love, Poor Super Man, Wolfboy, Outrageous, True Love Lies and many other scripts that have been produced worldwide over the last thirty years is offering an intensive playwriting program specifically for new or unproduced writers.
