PGC AGM 2010

June 1, 2010

By Derek Gingrich

On June 13, 2010, PGC will be hosting its Annual General Meeting at Theatre Passe Muraille. After a day full of important business and information, we’ll be moving on over to nearby restaurant, Epicure for an after-party and award presentation!

The day is going to begin at 9:30AM. The Women’s Caucus meeting starts the day’s events in motion, and is accompanied by light refreshments. Soon after, Emil Sher is hosting a workshop (which you must be registered for!) about the business of playwriting – entitled Taking Stock – that promises to be greatly informative. See the registration page for more information on the workshop!

After a lunch break, things start up again at 2:00PM with the AGM proper. Important information about PGC’s past, present and future will be presented, elaborated upon and discussed. Come, and explore PGC’s plans for the future, and learn all that’s been accomplished in the last year.

The after-party – which begins at 5:00PM – is being hosted at the second floor of Epicure – a lovely restaurant literally minutes away from Theatre Passe Muraille, at 502 Queen St. W. During the after party Shirley Barrie is going to be presenting a life-time achievement award to David French, honouring his prolific and important work as an iconic Canadian playwright. David French’s incredible career, which started with Leaving Home in 1972, has left an undeniable impression on Canadians from all walks of life.

Registration for the AGM, and the workshops, is already looking great and we hope to see more of you register in the next sixteen days! Please remember to register at www.pgc.eventbrite.com if you plan to attend!

Look forward to seeing you all there!
